Overview
A certified copy of a document is treated as equivalent to the original. If the original is lost, misplaced, torn or mutilated, its certified copy works as a substitute. Certified copies of all registered documents can be obtained from the Sub-Registrar office where the document was registered.
We help you locate the document and obtain the certified copy from the concerned Sub-Registrar office. If you have only incomplete details, we help trace the document and search for it.
When you need it
- The original registered document is lost, damaged or mutilated
- A bank, authority or buyer needs a certified copy
- You are verifying an older document in a property's title chain
Details required
Open as checklist- Registration number, book number, volume number and page numbers
- Date of registration and the Sub-Registrar office
- Application to the Sub-Registrar
- Stamp paper of ₹10 and court fee affixed to the application
This is an indicative list. Exact requirements depend on the property, the authority and your situation, and we confirm the full list after reviewing your papers.
How it works
