Overview
An Adoption Deed is required for adopting a child. It is executed by the natural parents of the child in favour of the adoptive parents.
The rules differ according to the religion of the parents. For Hindus, it is an essential part of the adoption process under the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956 and its rules.
